Sunday, Day 7: Early wake up call at 4:30 AM to depart for the Basilica for the Cardinal's Mass or participate in the Grand Mardi Gras! SINULOG FESTIVAL The most awaited event of every Cebuano and every other Filipino who has not experienced this wonderful celebration. Get ready for some serious partying. When they pray, they dance! Dance to the rhythm of Sinulog and feel its energy coming from the people. Sinulog is a dance ritual in honor of the miraculous image of the Santo Nino. The prayer-dance moves two steps forward and one step backward to the sound of the drums and shouts of "Pit Senor! Viva Santo Nino!" This resembles the current (sulog) of what was then known as Cebu's Pahina River. Thus, in Cebuano, they say it's Sinulog. Overnight in Cebu.
Monday, Day 8: Fly back to the US or join us beyond Cebu or extend your stay!
